About Reverend Mark Bowers
The Reverend Mark A. Bowers graduated from St. John’s School of Nursing in Springfield, Missouri in 2009 and earned a master’s degree in nursing from Saint Louis University in 2014. His ministerial studies were completed in 2024 at Bishop Kemper School of Ministry in Topeka, Kansas. He has worked as a psychiatric nurse practitioner since 2015 and has been serving as a priest associate at Trinity since his ordination in 2024. He is grateful for this opportunity to serve in a bi-vocational capacity under the guidance of seasoned clergy. He has found parish ministry at Trinity to be an absolute joy.
Father Bowers and his wife, Tiffany, were married in 2000 and have three wonderful children, one of which has left the nest. Tiffany is a registered nurse and presently works in a remote capacity from home.
ABOUT FATHER HENDERSON, TRINITY’S PRIEST ASSOCIATE
The Reverend L. Owen Henderson earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Florida State University in 1972, a Master of Divinity Degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1976, and a Certificate of Anglican Studies from Nashotah House (Episcopal Seminary) in 1994. As an ordained Southern Baptist minister, he served in Baptist churches in Florida and Mississippi, as well as a Chaplain Resident and Staff Chaplain while receiving clinical education and training in pastoral care in a hospital in Texas.
Prior to being an Episcopal priest, he worked as a Unit Manager at a hospital in Texas, and as a Professional Specialist for the Medicare carrier for the state of Texas.
After ordination as an Episcopal priest, he served at parishes in Texas and Missouri, as well as the Director of the Department of Pastoral Care (Chaplaincy services) at an Episcopal hospital in Texas.
He and his wife Courtney have been married for 32 years. She has been a teacher and coach, is currently a ghost blogger. Their cat is currently training him in humility and humiliation.
